As much has changed over the last decade, there is much more that can be – and should be – done. The creation of five new cities in Fulton County – Sandy Springs (2005), Johns Creek (2006), Milton (2006), Chattahoochee Hills (2006), City of South Fulton (2017) – has dramatically reduced the role of Fulton County in providing municipal services. Record Restriction Summit Registration Extended to Nov. 4

The Temple, Georgia Justice Project and Fulton County Solicitor General Keith E. Gammage have partnered to hold another Veterans Day Misdemeanor Record Restriction Summit. Free assistance will be provided to help attendees remove non-violent misdemeanor arrests from their criminal record. The event is intended to assist those who have been arrested in Fulton County, were not convicted at trial or pled Nolo Contendre, completed a pre-trial intervention diversion program, completed first offender cases, or were charged with a misdemeanor under the age of 21. The events have assisted thousands in clearing arrests from their criminal histories to give them a second chance.  Without this initiative, the process to expunge a record can be expensive and lengthy.  The summit is not only fr...
