City Sets Dates for First Meetings of the New Year

South Fulton’s city council will meet for the first time in 2020 on Friday, Jan. 10 at 9 a.m. at City Hall, 5440 Fulton Industrial Blvd. The purpose of the meeting is to approve a use permit for an Atlanta Track Club 12K race to take place on Saturday, Jan. 11 at Wolf Creek Amphitheater and to approve a resolution and memorandum of understanding transferring the Southwest Arts Center from Fulton County to the city.

The first work session and regular meeting of the year will take place on Tuesday, January 14 at 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. respectively. The meeting will be held at the South Fulton Arts Center at 4645 Butner Road. The Mayor and City Council meet every second and fourth Tuesday of the month.

Zoning, Ethics, SFDA and Other Meetings

A Community Zoning Information Meeting was planned for tonight at 6 p.m. at City Hall. However, no petitions are listed, and the meeting has been canceled.

A Board of Ethics meeting is planned for Jan. 13 at 6 p.m. at City Hall. The board will hear Complaint #2019-07, James Brennan vs. Mark Baker.

A Historic & Cultural Landmarks meeting is planned for Jan. 14 at 1 p.m. at Welcome All Park at 4255 Will Lee Road.

The Zoning Board of Appeals will convene on Jan. 16 at 1 p.m. at the South Fulton Service Center, 5600 Stonewall Tell Road.

The South Fulton Development Authority (SFDA) will meet on Jan. 27 at 6 p.m. The meeting will take place at the Fairfield Inn & Suites, 7775 Ella Lane.
