Council and Development Authority to Hold Meetings during Thanksgiving Week

The regular meeting of the Mayor and Council previously scheduled for November 26 has been canceled due to the Thanksgiving holiday. The next work session and regular meeting will be held on December 10 at 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. respectively at the South Fulton Service Center Auditorium at 5600 Stonewall Tell Road.

South Fulton Development Authority Meeting on Nov. 25

The South Fulton Development Authority will convene on Monday, November 25 at 6:00 p.m. The meeting will be held at the Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott located at 7775 Ella Lane.

The agenda will include public comment and presentations by Monty Garside on an Old National Highway development and by T. Dallas Smith & Company on Tenant Brokerage and Commercia Real Estate Advisory Services. Discussions will also be held on a retreat for supplemental training and website design.

Special Called Meeting on Nov. 26

The Mayor and Council will hold a special called meeting on Tuesday, November 26 at 3:00 p.m. at City Hall located at 5440 Fulton Industrial Blvd. The meeting will be held in the breakroom.

During the meeting, the council will vote to approve an amendment of the URA resolution and plan and the conveyance of two Old National Park parcels to the South Fulton Development Authority with a quit claim deed.

A discussion on disciplinary action will also take place. The discussion follows a call by four councilmembers for an investigation into Councilmember Willis’ role in a deal between Halperns’ Steak and Seafood and the Fulton County development authority.
