Councilwoman Gumbs will hold a fireside chat on Thursday, May 28 to provide a comprehensive update on the impact of COVID-19 on the South Fulton community. The virtual event will take place at 6:30 p.m. and will be streamed via YouTube.
She’ll be joined by Mayor William “Bill” Edwards to update residents on how the pandemic has impacted the city’s operations, measures being taken to stabilize the city and future plans to reopen.
Dr. Lane Rolling, a professor of pathogenic virology and a member of the COVID-19 Congressional Black Caucus Task Force, will also join the chat. He’ll provide details on how the virus is impacting the health of average citizens and steps that residents should be taking to keep themselves and their families safe.
“Our goal is to keep you informed by ‘keeping it real’ about the virus, and getting to the truth,” said Councilwoman Gumbs.
This is Gumbs’ second virtual event focused on COVID-19. The first brought area medical professionals together to answer residents questions and provide health-related updates.
