Development Authority to Meet on July 10

The South Fulton Development Authority will meet on Wednesday, July 10 at 6:00 p.m. at the Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott (7775 Ella Lane). Although the group first met in May at Welcome All Park, this will be their first meeting since being sworn in on June 11.

In December 2018, the city council voted to activate the development authority for the “purpose of developing and promoting the public good and general welfare, trade, commerce, industry and employment opportunities.”

Authority members’ general duties include analyzing economic activity in the city, studying the impact of growth, and creating and implementing plans for the development of public or private facilities.

The members of the South Fulton Development Authority are: Mayor Pro Tem Mark Baker, Stacy Blakley, Arnold Jiggetts, Shelley Lamar, Jamal Grooms and Ric Ross. All, by requirement, are tax paying residents of South Fulton.
