Join the Georgia Legislative Black Caucus on Wednesday, May 18, 2022, at 6 PM ETĀ for a Virtual Town Hall on the maternal mortality crisis.

Nationally, Black women are three times more likely to die from pregnancy-related causes than White women. In Georgia, Black women are 3.3 times more likely to die from pregnancy-related complications, the highest ratio in the country.

During this panel discussion listen to leading medical professionals, academia, and community advocates address the maternal health crisis by offering sound medical advice and recommendations which can collectively save lives and our families.

The Georgia Legislative Black Caucus (GLBC) represents 68 members who serve in the Georgia General Assembly. Established in 1975, the GLBC has sought to protect the general welfare of African Americans, other people of color, and disadvantaged citizens of Georgia in matters of health and welfare, education, social and criminal justice, employment, and economic empowerment.
