South Fulton Development Authority to Welcome New Member, Meeting Set for Feb. 24

Derek Pollard has been named to the South Fulton Development Authority. His term began Feb. 11, 2020 and expires on Dec. 31, 2021. He fills a vacancy left by Shelly Lamar.

Pollard is a commercial real estate finance consultant and the owner of LakeRock Capital, LLC. He was previously a commissioned capital markets examiner at The Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta and a Vice President at SunTrust Bank where he conceived and built the bank’s commercial real estate underwriting platform.

Pollard earned his B.A. in finance and accounting from Morehouse College and his M.B.A. from Clark Atlanta University. He currently lives in the Sandtown community in South Fulton.

Pollard will be introduced at the next South Fulton Development Authority meeting on Monday, Feb. 24 at 6 p.m. at the Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott, 7775 Ella Lane. The agenda will include approvals of past meeting minutes and an application for a bond inducement letter, discussion on supplemental training and a presentation by Park Terrace Companies President Thompson Gooding and attorney Stewart Duggan.

An opportunity for public comment will be available before the meeting adjourns.
