South Fulton Eggstravaganza: The Hunt for 12,000 Eggs Begins Sunday

South Fulton residents are getting ready for a host of Easter events this Sunday. One of the highlights of the weekend will undoubtedly be the 2nd Annual Spring Eggstravaganza hosted by Old National Entertainment in partnership with the City of South Fulton.

The event will take place on Easter Sunday from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Creel Park (2775 Creel Road). Attendees have lots to look forward to including live performances and a kids’ fashion show. A marketplace featuring youth vendors is also back this year. Event organizers have included it as a clever and fun way to teach tiny tycoons in the making about the ins and outs of entrepreneurship.

Of course there will be egg hunts for children, but the Spring Eggstravaganza has gone to great lengths to make sure that the adults are not left out. They’ll have an egg hunt of their own, and one lucky grownup will take home a golden egg filled with $250 and two gas cards.

Torrey Tomlinson, founder of Old National Entertainment, has branded the event as the biggest egg hunt in the city. 12,000 eggs have been donated not only from the business community, but also generous residents. Some of the events’ sponsors are Amerigroup, RW Andrews Mortuary and Dortch-Williamson Funeral & Cremation Services.

“I am just so overwhelmed right now with all of the love that’s being shown,” he said in a social media post praising community members for their support and for “showing up and showing out.”

On the day of the event, the Creel Park parking lot will be will be reserved for vendors, performers and public safety personnel. Free parking for the event will be available at Creel Park C.M.E. Church (2750 Creel Road) and Love T. Nolan Elementary School (2725 Creel Road), both in walking distance of the event.
