Barrington Trace to Host Community Garage Sale

South Fulton residents who love a good treasure hunt are in luck. The residents of Barrington Trace will hold their inaugural community garage sale this weekend. The event will take place, rain or shine, on Saturday, May 14 from 8 a.m. until 1 p.m. Participating residents will have balloons on their mailboxes. Items for sale will include glassware, bowls, home decor, dining ware, lamps, framed art, tools, clothing and more. All items will be "priced to go." Councilwoman Gilyard to Host Second Environmental Forum

District 4 Councilwoman Naeema Gilyard will host "Built Environment: How Healthy is Your Neighborhood" on June 27 at 6:30 p.m. at Zion Hill Baptist Church (6175 Campbellton Road). The event, in partnership with the church and Georgia Interfaith Power and Light (GIPL), is the second part of a three-part environmental series.  It is free and open to the public. Members of the community who attend will participate in a roundtable discussion and breakout sessions facilitated by experts. Focus areas will be: health impacts of the built environment; healthy behavior drivers; environmental stressors; and legal methods to improve the built environment.
