ATL CONJURE & CULTURE FESTIVAL 6009 Memorial Drive, Stone Mountain, GA 30083 October 26 - 27, 2019 ATL Conjure Fest is a 2-day event celebrating the culture and spiritual traditions of people of African American descent and ancestry. Saturday, October 26, 2019 [ 10am-7pm ] : Day 1 will consist of the Conjure Fest Ancestral Walk and Vendor Market, along with workshop classes taught by highly qualified special invited instructors, healthy and healing food options, a kids zone, guest speakers and live performances. Sunday, October 27, 2019 [ 6pm-10pm ] : Conjure Fest weekend will wrap up the evening of Sunday, October 27th with a Banquet Gala and Closing Celebration. South Fulton Voices: Planning a Successful School Year

Editorial by Samuel Wakefield As we get ready to head back to school, I figure that this is a good opportunity to provide parents such as myself with a bit of a pep talk to begin the year. Make no mistake about it, the start of a new school year can be just as daunting for parents as it is for the child. Already, we have bags of schools supplies that need to be sorted, uniforms that need to be organized, hair that needs to be done (remember we’ve got 4 girls)…the list goes on. This only represents the cosmetic part of preparing for the school year. We haven’t even begun to talk with the girls yet about their goals for the year or how they’re feeling.
