Sandtown Middle Raises over $13,000 during Every Kid Healthy Week
Sandtown Middle School set a $10,000 fundraising goal for National Every Kid Health Week, which culminated with the school’s inaugural PTSA 3K Color Fun Run. With the help of parents, community members and generous sponsors, including Councilwoman Catherine Foster Rowell, the goal was exceeded by more than $3,000.
Every Kid Health Week is an annual observance held April 22 – 26 to celebrate school health and wellness achievements and to demonstrate the link between nutrition, physical activity and learning.
