Taste of Sofu, South Fulton's newest food and entertainment festival, kicked off earlier this month. The event brings live entertainment, food trucks and business vendors to the Southwest Arts Center on the first and third Tuesday of the month, now through October.
So far, attendees have sampled barbecue, vegan dishes, cuisine from New Orleans, Italian ice and more. They've also had an opportunity to pair their dishes with Black-owned spirits, beers and wines.
Alcohol Heroes, a Taste of Sofu vendor, is a mobile bar and catering service launched 10 years ago by Scott and Tiffany Richardson. Their menus regularly feature Black-owned brands.
