GreyStone Power Invites Members to 82nd Annual Meeting

GreyStone Power invites its members to the 82nd Annual Meeting of Members for fun activities, musical entertainment, tips on energy efficiency, information about electric vehicles, a health fair and more!

The free event, located at 11490 Veterans Memorial Highway (and the intersection of North Burnt Hickory Road), will focus on various forms of safety with local law enforcement and our friends from Safe Kids. The co-op welcomes both the Douglas County and Paulding County Sheriffs’ departments, along with the Douglas County Polar Patrol and Paulding’s SWAT truck. Local fire departments will also be on hand with their burn trailer and a fire engine for kids to see.

GreyStone will continue to host a health fair, inflatables for children, free Chick-fil-A biscuits (8–10 a.m.) and concessions (popcorn, bagged cotton candy, canned soft drinks). The Deep South Biscuit Co. food truck, as highlighted on a recent episode of “Food Truck Nation­,” will be on hand with a variety of biscuit and Tator Tot menu options for members to purchase.

Enjoy the mesmerizing sound of 2018’s “The Voice” finalist Kirk Jay as he entertains members at 9:45 a.m., followed by a business meeting at 11 a.m. to update members on their cooperative. Door prizes and the grand-prize giveaway, a 2008 Chevrolet Silverado truck, will follow.

An election by voice vote for three uncontested board directors will continue their service to members. To simplify registration (from 8-11 a.m.), bring your electric bill. The member (whose name is on the bill) must be present to register.
