Looking for Work? Upcoming Job Fairs Offer on-the-Spot Interviews and Hiring

Over the next few weeks, organizers will host multiple job fairs in hopes of linking jobseekers to thousands of open positions. Events are planned for the Georgia International Convention Center and the Old National Career Center.

The Georgia International Convention Center, 2000 Convention Center Con., will host a hiring event on Thursday, February 27 from 10 a.m. until 7 p.m. Gate Gourmet, the world’s largest independent provider of airline catering services, will hire on the spot for drivers, driver helpers, food preparers, dishwashers, custodians and equipment assemblers. Interested candidates should apply online prior to arrival.

Goodwill of North Georgia will host a job fair at its Old National Career Center, 6175 Old National Highway, Suite 120, on March 11 from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet hiring managers and get access to job search resources. Past job fair participants have included Fulton County Schools, South Fulton Police Department, MARTA, UPS and Lowes. Goodwill’s Old National Career Center holds job fairs regularly. The organization will also host a hiring event with the Department of Juvenile Justice on Wednesday, March 18 from 10 a.m. until 2:30 p.m.

Congressman David Scott (GA-13) will host his 17th Annual Jobs Fair on Friday, March 27 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Georgia International Convention Center. More than 100 of Georgia’s top employers will be recruiting job seekers to fill over 5,000 positions in technology, banking, law enforcement, education, manufacturing, healthcare and more.  Attendees should pre-register online.
