Earlier today, South Fulton officials gathered to celebrate the groundbreaking of a Publix shopping center at Sandtown Crossing. The development is situated on the corner of Camp Creek Parkway and Campbellton Road.
The new 48,387-square-foot Publix will be flanked by two 8,200-square-foot buildings and is scheduled to open next fall. The grocer will join a CVS, 15,000 square feet of retail space and 18,000 square feet of office space. Locally-owned Sandtown Pub and Barre Luxe are also nearby.
Earlier this year, John Perlman, principal at Adams & Co. Real Estate Inc., announced that the Publix will be a state-of-the-art, prototype store. By comparison, it will be slightly smaller than the stores at Cascade Crossing and Camp Creek Marketplace. It will feature a pharmacy, food service options, and a mezzanine for in-store dining with an elevator.
Perlman, a developer in South Fulton for nearly three decades, will be the special guest speaker at the Sandtown Community Association meeting tonight at 6:30 p.m. He will share information about the project and take questions from the public. The meeting will take place at Decision Point Ministries located at 5450 Campbellton Road.
