Adams & Co. to Break Ground on Publix at Sandtown Crossing This Fall

Adams & Co. Real Estate Inc. will break ground on a 48,387-square-foot Publix this fall in Sandtown Crossing in the City of South Fulton.

The new Publix will be flanked by two 8,200-square-foot buildings and is scheduled to open in fall 2020. The grocer will join a CVS/pharmacy, 15,000 square feet of retail space and 18,000 square feet of office space.

According to John Perlman, principal at Adams & Co. Real Estate Inc., the Publix will be a state-of-the-art, prototype store. It will be slightly smaller than the stores at Cascade Crossing and Camp Creek Marketplace, but not noticeably so to customers. It will include a pharmacy, food service options, and a mezzanine for in-store dining with an elevator.

Sandtown Crossing is situated on the corner of Camp Creek Parkway and Campbellton Road, 15 miles west of downtown Atlanta. The mixed-use development is currently home to locally-owned Sandtown Pub and Barre Luxe, among other retailers and restaurants.

Perlman, who has been developing in the South Fulton area since 1992, said that he is open to a variety of retail and restaurant options in the vacant spaces within the Sandtown Crossing development. He has asked for public input and suggestions, and asked for residents to consider themselves as “deputies for this leasing effort.”

“This is your shopping center, this is something that serves your community,” said Adams. “We want this to be something that you want to got to and patronize.”
