The Mayor and Council held a special called meeting today at City Hall. After hearing from Special Counsel John Mrosek, six Councilmembers voted to proceed with a formal investigation of Councilmember Helen Willis and her role in a deal between Halperns’ Steak and Seafood and the Fulton County development authority.
Her colleagues have alleged misconduct, and accused her of steering funds away from the city. The meeting can be viewed below. The formal hearing will take place on December 10.
