South Fulton to hold Virtual Party on Friday to Celebrate Third Anniversary

South Fulton officials will bring in the city’s birthday a little different this year.

The City of South Fulton will celebrate the third anniversary of its incorporation with a virtual party this Friday, May 1, at 6 p.m.

The three-hour event will feature remarks from Mayor William “Bill” Edwards highlighting city accomplishments in its first three years. Edwards will also underline milestones for 2020. Music will fill the rest of the evening with tunes spun by DJ Mook B, DJ Frost, DJ Salah Ananse and DJ Kizzy Rock.

“We have come a long way in our first three years,” said Edwards. “Residents have played a significant role in that success. We are proud to celebrate all our milestones with the individuals that made it all possible.”

South Fulton residents can watch the event via live stream on City of South Fulton social media platforms including YouTube, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram or at www.southfultoncelebrates.com. Residents also are encouraged to participate by sending 30- second videos wishing the city a happy birthday or expressing pride in the city. Send your video to [email protected]

In addition to the virtual party, the city is launching Back the Bank – a fundraiser for the Atlanta Community Food Bank. The first 100 people to send verification of a donation of $10 or more to the food bank will receive a limited-edition third anniversary T-shirt. To enter, send a screenshot of your donation confirmation code along with your shirt size and mailing address to [email protected].
