Miracle League Recruiting Players, Volunteers for Fall Season

The South Fulton Miracle League’s fall season is underway. The league held their first game on September 12 at Welcome All Park. The Miracle League was first launched in 2000 in Georgia. It has since evolved into a global program that helps remove the barriers that keep players with mental and physical disabilities off the baseball field. The South Fulton chapter has operated as a nonprofit organization in the area for 15 years at Welcome All Park. Games have two innings. MLB Great Marquis Grissom Launches Fall Baseball League at Welcome All Park

When Marquis Grissom caught the final out in the 1995 World Series, he secured the Atlanta Braves' only world championship win. Now he's helping to groom another generation of world class players. The Marquis Grissom Baseball Association (MGBA) has partnered with the city of South Fulton to elevate the baseball programming offered at Welcome All Park. Registration is currently open for the fall baseball league, an eight week program that starts on August 14. Ages seven to 13 are eligible to participate.
