Comcast Awards Grant, Laptops at City Council Meeting
Councilwoman Carmalitha Gumbs mobilized more than 200 volunteers earlier this year for her annual Earth Day community cleanup event in partnership with Comcast Cares. To reward the councilwoman and District 2 residents for their efforts, Comcast presented a grant in the amount of $3,300 at last night's city council meeting. Councilwoman Gumbs said that Stonewall Tell Elementary, Cliftondale Elementary and Westlake High will be the beneficiaries of the funds.
