The first of several Veterans Day celebrations in South Fulton kicked off earlier today at 7:00 a.m. at Sandtown Pub. The popular eatery was the host of the inaugural WAOK Veterans Day Breakfast. In addition to enjoying a free meal and fellowship, veterans received swag bags and information from onsite representatives from the Veterans Health Administration.
Dr. F. Keith Slaughter hosted the live broadcast. Also in attendance were radio personality Joyce Littel, Mayor William “Bill” Edwards, Councilwoman Carmalitha Gumbs, Fulton County Commissioner Joe Carn and South Fulton Economic Development Administrator Christopher Pike.
