Boil Water Advisory Lifted for All Impacted Areas

Following a temporary loss of pressure, a Boil Water Advisory was issued on the evening of July 29 for residents and property owners in the City of South Fulton, Union City and the City of Fairburn as well as a portion of southwest Atlanta along Cascade Road SW and Benjamin E Mays Dr. SW between Avon Avenue SW and Fairburn Rd SW.   The City of Atlanta Department of Watershed Management has now lifted the boil water advisory for all areas. Sampling has confirmed there was no contamination of the public water system. Water may be used for all purposes without boiling. The Georgia Environmental Protection Division has been notified.

Boil Water Advisory Lifted with Exception of Hutcheson Ferry Road Zone

Following a temporary loss of pressure last evening, a Boil Water Advisory was issued for residents and property owners in the City of South Fulton, Union City and the City of Fairburn as well as a portion of southwest Atlanta along Cascade Road SW and Benjamin E Mays Dr. SW between Avon Avenue SW and Fairburn Rd SW.   Samples taken throughout the affected area confirmed no system-wide contamination of the public drinking water system. The boil water advisory has been lifted throughout most of the advisory area, with the exception of the Hutcheson Ferry Road zone, including the following streets: Selborne Way; Selborne Lane; Augusta Lane; Gainey Lane; Rockhill Drive; Atlanta Newnan Road; Serenbe Lane and Middleton Way.
