Fulton County BOE to Hold First Budget Hearing on May 3

The Fulton County Board of Education will meet on Tuesday, May 3 at the Fulton County School District’s North Learning Center, at 450 Northridge Parkway in Sandy Springs. A series of sessions is planned for the day, including the first budget hearing.

The day’s agenda items include the Superintendent’s report, a report on K-8 STEAM, a facilities master plan update, public comment, and monthly recognition of student and staff accomplishments. All topics up for approval are posted for the public on BoardDocs.

The school board will first meet for executive session at 11 a.m. A pre-work session will begin at approximately 12:30 p.m. with work session presentations immediately following at approximately 2:30 p.m. The first budget hearing will take place at 6 p.m.

All meetings of the School Board are open to the public unless designated as executive session, where the Board convenes in private to discuss land, legal, or personnel items. 

Social distancing will be practiced at all meetings and hearings, and therefore space for attendees may be reduced.  

Public Board meetings can be watched live in a variety of other ways. Meetings are broadcast on FCSTV Comcast Channel 24, AT&T Ch. 99, and Google Fiber TV Ch. 145. Public board meetings are also streamed live on the FCSTV Communications website at www.fultonschools.org/fcstv

Video recordings of the meeting are archived to the Fulton County School District website within 48 hours of the meeting and are available for viewing at https://www.fultonschools.org/boardvideos.
