Overnight Lane Closures at I-285 and Camp Creek

Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) crews will implement overnight lane closures this weekend in conjunction with ongoing construction of the Diverging Diamond Interchange (DDI) project at I-285 and State Route 6/ Camp Creek Parkway in Fulton County.

Weather permitting, these are the scheduled lane closures on I-285 northbound at the Camp Creek Parkway exit: Two right lanes will be closed overnight from 10:00 p.m. on Friday, May 31 until 4:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 1, and Two left lanes will be closed overnight from 10:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 2 until 4:00 a.m. on Monday, June 3. Traffic will be paced on I-285 northbound at Camp Creek when work crews are ready to remove the exit bridge overhang.

Message boards and signage will alert drivers of the closures and traffic impacts in advance of the project area. The lane closures and traffic pacing will keep workers and drivers safe as construction activities related to the DDI project continue.

Motorists traveling in the area are reminded to reduce their speeds in the work zone. Motorists are also encouraged to wear seatbelts, eliminate distractions behind the wheel, and plan their routes before getting on the road by calling 511 for real-time information on work status and traffic conditions.
