The Fulton County Board of Education will meet Thursday, Aug. 11 at Fulton County Schools’ North Learning Center, at 450 Northridge Parkway in Sandy Springs.
The School Board will first meet for the second millage hearing at 11 a.m. immediately followed by executive session at approximately 11:30 a.m. Pre-work session will begin at approximately 1 p.m. with work session presentations immediately following at approximately 2:30 p.m. Should the work sessions conclude early, the board may move immediately to begin discussion of the topics slated for the Thursday, August 18 board agenda.
The third millage hearing will begin at 6 p.m., and will be followed by the monthly recognition of outstanding student and staff accomplishments and public comment session. The School Board is expected to adopt the final millage rate following the third public hearing.
All topics up for approval are posted on BoardDocs, a website that makes the School Board agenda and all supporting documents available online.
All meetings of the School Board are open to the public unless designated as executive session, where the Board convenes in private to discuss land, legal, or personnel items.
Social distancing will be practiced at all meetings and hearings, and therefore space for attendees may be reduced.
