South Fulton to be Represented for the First Time in Miss Georgia Teen Pageant

The city of South Fulton will be represented for the first time this fall in the Miss Georgia Teen USA pageant. The coveted sash will be worn by 16-year old Damacia Howard.

According to pageant organizers at Greenwood Productions, hundreds of young women apply to compete. After reviewing Howard’s application and interviewing her, they selected her to compete as Miss South Fulton Teen USA.

Howard will take the stage and compete with approximately 50 others from the state of Georgia for the title.  Miss Georgia Teen USA is the preliminary for the Miss Teen USA pageant which is owned and produced by the Miss Universe organization.

Howard has already won several pageant titles, as well as state and national awards for her academics and community service. Notably, she was the first teen to receive a proclamation from the city of South Fulton. She has volunteered with Books for Africa Atlanta, and launched her own summer reading initiative, “Read Across South Fulton.” She maintains an A average as a dual enrollment honor student at Georgia Cyber Academy. In her down time she enjoys shopping and movies with her family and friends.

Pageant contestants are supported with the help of sponsors. Howard’s sponsors include her parents, James and Regina, Nouritress Perfect Hair Products, Southern Smiles Family Dentistry, Giovanni Collections, A Sound Voice Media Group, The Experience, LLC, and Cassandra Dallman Photography.

The Miss Georgia Teen USA pageant will take place next month in McDonough, Ga. The preliminary show kicks off on Nov. 22, followed by crowning on Nov. 23.
