South Fulton Parkway Alliance to Meet May 12

The South Fulton Parkway Alliance will hold its monthly meeting on May 12 at 9 a.m. The event will be streamed via Zoom.

The organization will welcome special guest speaker Pierre Sackey, Elevate Douglas Data Center Consultant. Sackey will discuss strategic data center construction, and commissioning in Douglas County.

Sackey is the President of Apollo Mission Critical Engineering, a strategic provider of Data Center Construction Quality Control and Commissioning to global technology companies. He’ll provide insight on creating a win-win situation for the area as local leaders and stakeholders navigate the merging of massive construction and sustainable development.

The Parkway Alliance is a membership organization that focuses elevating the quality of life for those who live, work and play in South Fulton and surrounding areas. The area is ripe for growth and eyed heavily by both developers and investors.

Foxhall Resort, located along the parkway, has been approved to build a five-story, 250-room Westin Hotel with a 50,000 square-foot conference center on the resort’s property.

According to a report published by The Washington Post, nearly 60 percent of the homes purchased last year near South Fulton Parkway were acquired by investors.
