City Council to Hear Four Zoning Cases on Jan. 11

The City of South Fulton will hold zoning public hearings on Jan. 11 at 6 p.m. Four cases will be heard impacting districts one, two and four.

The cases scheduled to be heard by the city council include:

Case Z21-016
The applicant is requesting a rezone from AG-1 to CUP for 36 single family homes at 0 West Stubbs Rd. and 3315 West Stubbs Rd. in District 2. The case was heard by the Planning Commission on Dec. 15 and was approved with conditions. The city council will hear the case on Jan. 11 and vote on it on Jan. 25.

Case M21-007
The applicant is requesting approval for modifications to allow a 146-unit Townhome development instead of the previously permitted 114-unit townhome development at 0 Campbellton Rd. and Chattahoochee Dr. in District 1. Additionally, the applicant is requesting approval to: reduce the required heated floor area from 2,000 square feet to either 1850 square feet or 1650 square feet; replace the approved site plan; and to coordinate with GDOT for future traffic improvements. The case was previously deferred at the Dec. 14 meeting.

Case CV21-007
The applicant has submitted a concurrent variance request at 0 Campbellton Rd. and Chattahoochee Dr. in District 1 to remove portions of the berm required by the Sandtown Overlay. The case was previously deferred at the Dec. 14 meeting.

CaseU21-007
The applicant is requesting a special use permit for cosmetology service suites at 7580 Springbox Drive in District 4. The case was heard by the Planning Commission on Dec. 15 and approved with conditions. The city council will hear the case on Jan. 11 and vote on it on Jan. 25.

Residents will be able to view all of the zoning public hearings on the city’s livestream. Public comment can be made via the city’s website.
